Worst service I have ever experience. We went there for mothers day breakfast and everything started out fine. They took our order and we got our drinks right away. Then we never saw our waitress again. After 30 mins food arrived to our table but it was all wrong, nothing we ordered was right and our "bottomless coffees" we're never refilled. In the end the major came over and gave us the "oh well sorry " look with no explanation for the horrible service. Plus my sausage I finally got was burned, my husbands sausage and gravy was inedible. The special day was hurt by this experience.

I've only been here twice since they've opened a couple months ago. Both times the service was horrible at the front. It wasn't busy yet it took five minutes for one of the six employees that walked by us multiple times to finally stop to seat us. Once we sat down, our server was fabulous. I think her name was Ashley. She was very sweet, put our order in correctly, and paid attention to detail like adding cranberries to my side cakes. The egg white omelet I had was delicious. I tried some fries that another person with me ordered, and they were crispy and tasty. Similar to checkers without the seasoning. Overall the food was worth the slow service in the front.

2 1/2 stars for Bob Evans... I completely agree with Teresa G. on the strangest server experience my husband or I have ever had. Daniel is odd to say the least. When he greeted us in his overly proper, long winded and big vocabulary way we thought it was an act. A gimmick, if you will. However, if it is an act he didn't break character the entire time we were there. He even rattled on with his co-workers who were obviously annoyed and often would just cut him off. When a simple "No" or "Yes" would suffice he speeds off with one four syllable word after another. Really? I guess maybe some people find it charming. We found it creepy. Hubby found it instantly annoying. I kind of felt bad for the guy. And I could've dealt with him if he had been at least a decent server. But alas, if you're going to be a quirky server be a GOOD server. He speaks too fast as to be clearly understood, forgot condiments, never filled water, left our food sitting under heat lamps before another lady stepped in to help and completely forgot my meal came with a dessert until I reminded him. He then disappeared after leaving the check so that we had to go to the front counter to get the forgotten dessert. The food was OK at best; a cafeteria style, breakfast served all day kind of place. In line with a Perkins. The restaurant itself was very clean and looked shiny and new. I think we were the youngest diners by about 40 years. I had the turkey which was a decent amount of food for the money. My 3-course meal cost $11 and came with a generous salad, cafeteria turkey, gravy and mashed potatoes and a the dessert Daniel forgot. My son wanted breakfast for lunch so we ended up here. The biscuits were baked fresh and were decent. But seriously, back to the server. We sat there and could hear him whistling loudly to himself while working behind the counter. It made me think of something the killer on Dexter would do. Very, very odd. It's worth a stop by this Bob Evans just to experience the Daniel. When you do share your experience here. Maybe we can figure out what's up with that guy. Is it an act? Just an unusual individual? I think he'd be better suited working at Disney. Then he could channel that individuality into some character out there and fit right in. It's a bit over the top for sleepy little Mount Dora!

Good food, reasonably priced (kids ate free on Tuesday). The food is good, not life changing but just good food. Billy the server was exceptional. I hope the management is taking care of him well.

First time at a Bob Evans. I had breakfast and the food was delicious. French toast with blueberries (it's hard to screw that up). It's a very simple atmosphere and had a warm/friendly service.

Worse service I've ever had. The restaurant was not busy. Many empty tables and booths but all the empty places were dirty. We chose one and the server removed the used glasses, dishes and silver but she did not clean or wipe it down. Still loaded with paper, salt and other stuff. Waited for twelve minutes and nobody came to either clean the table or to give us a menu. Again, the place was NOT busy. Needless to say. after telling the manager how poor the service was, we left and went elsewhere.

Tonight I went to Bob Evans for dinner. This was my third time having Daniel as my waiter and frankly he makes me nervous. He makes me feel as if I need to take a Valium during my meal. He is very proper, talks fast, does a little curtsy at the table and speaks to you as if he is waiting on the queen at Buckingham Palace. The management really needs to pull him to the side and advise him to slow down, just be himself, loosen up his knickers and enjoy himself before he has a heart attack. He is very high strung. I asked what salad dressings were available and he ran thru the types so fast my head was spinning. It is uncomfortable to say the least. On the other hand LEXIE is an outstanding waitress and a pure joy. She kind of just stepped in and helped our table as she noticed we had been sitting a very long time with no food. Thank goodness for Lexie who was down to earth and efficient. Bob Evans should be very thankful to have Lexie on their team. On my next visit I will request to be seated in any area except the area Daniel is working as my nerves cannot handle him. I have no complaints with the food. Everything is always good.

We ordered the three course dish. The waitress first brought the bread to us, which was just average, and made me wonder was I really at Bob Evans? Then, we waited and waited for our soup. The waitress came about 10 minutes later, and told us that she was sorry she forgot. Alright. Then she served me with the soup. Then we waited again. We sit there for about 20 minutes and the entrees still didn't come. After 25 minutes, she came with our food. My mom then asked her, "where is her salad?" She said sorry that she forgot again. Alright. Then we ate. The food was good, but not good enough to counter out the terrible miserable service. After we finished our food, she came over said"I am so sorry I forgot what you ordered for dessert again because I threw it away. Would you mind telling me again?" Ok that was it. She forgot my soup, my mom's salad, and now she threw our order away. Then when she came back with our desserts, she told me that they were out of all kinds of pies. They only have sundaes. That pissed me off for two reasons: one, while we were eating, another waitress came over and gave us the pumpkin pie by mistake(we told her we didn't order it for take out). Two, she should tell me that they were out of pies when I ordered. Because I chose that dish only because the pie, I had other dishes I wanted in mind. Then she came again asked what I wanted. now she said they had pumpkin pie. Alright I would take it. But when she returned, she said sorry there is only coconut pie. Oh I thought she said she had pumpkin pie, or I thought she told me she didn't have any pie left. So what the heck was she talking about? It was so bad. The couple sat in front of us waited like 20 minutes and she came to them to take their drinks. That waitress was so awful that no matter how good the food tasted, I don't plan to go back there ever again. And just in case you still want to go, be aware of if you have her. Anyway, it was bad and unenjoyable.

Yahoo. Haven't eaten at a Bob Evans in years, as we are not biscuit and gravy folks, but yankees. They recently opened and I went kicking and screaming with my wife to breakfast. Expected over-priced small portions, and instead found very different items on the menu that we downright delicious. I had the "buscuit bowl" and wifey had roast hash and they were delicious. Really should have taken a doggy bag, but it was too good to stop eating. The manager came over and greeted us personally, a nice touch, and not perfunctorily done as a part of her job, but our of legitimate care for her patrons. Service was great, the food surprisingly delicious, and we will return over and over again
